Would You Pay $16,000 for Some of Marilyn Monroe’s Hair

People are still infatuated with MARILYN MONROE . . . but is anyone infatuated enough to spend $16,500 on a 60-year-old clump of her hair?

That’s the asking price for about 35 strands of Marilyn’s hair.  It’s from the collection of Kenneth Battelle, who was her hairdresser from 1958 to 1962.

The hair comes in a glass frame, along with a framed photo of Marilyn.  It’s dated June 14th, 1959.  Apparently, Battelle made a bunch of these and gave them out as gifts to his friends

Odds are, you’re going to die one day from a disease and not in a SUPER COOL way like leaping out of a burning building to try to stop a runaway train.  But I guess you never know.

The National Safety Council just released an updated list of the top causes of death as of 2017 . . . and your odds of dying from them.  Here are the top 10 . . .

1.  Heart disease.  The odds are one in six it’ll be what kills you.

2.  Cancer, one in seven.

3.  Lung disease, one in 27.

4.  Suicide, one in 88.

5.  Opioid overdose, one in 96.

6.  Car accident, one in 103.  That’s the first time ever that opioids have beaten out car accidents, by the way.

7.  Falling, one in 114.

8.  Getting shot, one in 285.

9.  Hit by a car or other vehicle, one in 556.

10.  Motorcycle accident, one in 858.

Man Rents $1,500 Apartment For Daughter’s Cats

San Jose, California resident Troy Good recently rented a $1,500-a-month apartment for his daughter’s two cats because his current apartment does not allow pets. Troy adopted the cats for his 18-year-old daughter, who is away at college. He tells the San Jose Mercury News; “They definitely have the nicest cat apartment in Silicon Valley.”
