5 Spring Activities for the Family

Spring has sprung! April showers are giving way to May flowers, and you need to get out of the house! There’s so much going on during springtime in Utah, and KSL has your comprehensive guide!

Here are my top 5 picks:

#1 – May the Fourth Be With You, A ‘Star Wars’ Affair

Obviously this goes down on May 4th! The event takes place at the Viridian Event Center in West Jordan. It’s free, however you do need to go online and get a ticket as the space will fill up.

There will be a Costume Contest, Sabre Training, photo opportunities, prizes, vendors, food etc.

#2 – The Holi Festival of Colors

What is better than letting your kids get as messy as they want? Getting them into the event for free! Children under 12 are free, and adult tickets are only $5.00. The event is on May 7th, at the Krishna Temple in Salt Lake City.

There’s music, food, crafts, dancing and of course – color!

#3 – The Living Traditions Festival

Celebrating all the different cultures in our fair city! The festival takes place May 20-22 and will have singing, dancing, crafts, vendors, and most importantly: FOOD!

Admission is free and the event takes place at Library Square in SLC.

#4 – The Utah Pasifika Festival

You know I’m going to this! Celebrating our Polynesian culture May 26-29 in Provo. There will be food, dance, music, food, crafts, vendors, food… did I mention the food!?

#5 – Cedar Hills Family Festival

This sounds awesome: Golf, car show, carnival rides, parades, games, crafts, prizes!

The event is in Cedar Hills, from May 21- June 4. Children under 2 are free, and tickets range in prices from $2 to $18 depending on the events you want to participate in!
