The Emmy-winning actor and part-time Utah resident spearheaded a new program, “Tip Your Server.”
Ty Burrell, an actor, best known for his role on ABC’s “Modern Family” is also a restaurateur in Salt Lake City. He is now joining forces with Salt Lake City and the Downtown Alliance to raise funds for those being impacted by ongoing coronavirus issues. The program is a relief effort for workers in the food and beverage industry. The main objective of the program is to provide $2,000 grants to employees of any SLC restaurant or bar who may have lost employment from closures or limited operations from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ty Burrell, and his wife, Holly, made an initial contribution of $100,000 to the grant program. You can make a donation to help those affected by clicking here.
Our hospitality industry is really hurting from restaurant & bar closures due to the pandemic & earthquake. I’m proud to partner with local business owner/actor Ty Burrell and @DowntownSLC on a fund to assist food service workers. Visit https://t.co/NVobWFQGCO to help #utpol #slc pic.twitter.com/X2kFQBjBuG
