It sounds like a dream – you’re driving behind an armored truck when the door flies open and money start spilling out. But in real life it turned out to be a nightmare.
Police say on Thursday morning an armored truck traveling in East Rutherford spilled cash all over the road during the morning commute. Commuters stopped to get out of their cars and grab the money. Unfortunately, all those parked cars ended up causing multiple accidents.
It’s not known how much money was lost but police say the armored truck had an issue with a door not locking properly.
