The second season of the CW’s Batwoman will have a new leading actress.
Javicia Leslie will take over the role vacated by Ruby Rose. Javicia said, “I am extremely proud to be the first Black actress to play the iconic role of Batwoman on TV and as a bisexual woman I am honored to join the groundbreaking show.”
She will portray Ryan Wilder, a newly created character who is described as the most dangerous type of fighter-highly skilled ad wildly undisciplined.
The show is scheduled to return in January on Sunday nights.
