Fewer people tend to donate blood between Thanksgiving and New Year than at any other time of year.
That is very serious when you consider every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood.
Blood donors of all blood types, especially Type O and platelet donors are most needed.
O NO! We haven't been seeing enough type O donors! O+ is the most transfused blood type & can be used by patients of any Rh-positive blood type. O- is the universal blood type & is often used in emergencies. Don't ghost us this month. 👻 Patients need you! https://t.co/DjSQo5R0lM pic.twitter.com/Jp1BEtNEsD

Type O is the most in-demand type.
Type O Negative is what physicians often reach for in emergencies.
