Korea’s most successful group BTS, has dominated the album charts, and you can now add the box office to that list after banking big bucks at the box office over the weekend.
Their full-length film, “Burn The Stage: The Movie,” made a whopping $2.3 million over the weekend. Now if you pair that with the $1.2 million Thursday debut, and the $3.54 million cume gives them the record for the highest grossing film since One Direction’s in 2014.
The film follows the group during their 2017 Live Trilogy Episode III: The Wings tour with interviews and concert footage from the group.
The big opening of the film made it number 10 on the box office list for the weekend.
