Word is Nia DaCosta has been selected to direct Captain Marvel 2.
She recently finished directing Jordan Peele’s highly anticipated reboot of Candyman.
While Marvel and Disney would not confirm the selection it is not unusual for them to change directors within the same franchise.
They changed directors for Thor, Iron Man and Captain America.
They do it to give the sequel a “fresh eye.”
The first Captain Marvel brought in $1.13 billion worldwide.
COVID-19 has changed movie shoots and releases. Marvel movies are best enjoyed on the big screen.
