Boozy KFC Drinks

The Daily Mirror claims KFC is creating special alcoholic cocktails using booze and their food.

The Gravy Mary contains vodka, tomato juice, gravy and popcorn chicken as a garnish.

Finger Lickin Sour contains gravy, Mezcal, Cherry liqueur, orange marmalade, lemon juice and an egg white.

The Southern Twist contains bourbon, gravy, brown sugar and black pepper.

KFC is urging customers to try the drinks at home because they don’t serve booze

A Dictionary Just Made Its 2017 Word of the Year . . . “Milkshake Duck”?

We’re more than two weeks into 2018 but a dictionary in Australia just revealed their choice for 2017’s Word of the Year.  And . . . it’s certainly unique.

Most dictionaries picked words related to our current political climate for their Word of the Year . . . Dictionary.com went with “complicit,” Merriam-Webster went with “feminism,” and Collins Dictionary went with “fake news.”  Not these guys.

The Macquarie Dictionary just released THEIR word for last year, and they went with . . . “milkshake duck.”

What’s that?  The definition is, quote, “a person who is initially viewed positively by the media, but is then discovered to have something questionable about them which causes a sharp decline in their popularity.”

And yeah, that DID happen a lot last year . . . with the most prominent case being that kid Keaton whose video about bullying went insanely viral, but then it turned out his mom had a history of posting racist stuff on Facebook.

The term “milkshake duck” comes from a tweet in 2016 about this phenomenon.  Quote, “The whole internet loves Milkshake Duck, a lovely duck that drinks milkshakes!  Five seconds later . . . we regret to inform you the duck is racist.”

You Should Never Hold in Your Sneezes . . . A Guy Just Ruptured His Throat That Way

Next time you feel like you have to sneeze, don’t try to hold it in . . . even if you’re in a meeting or on a date or in any other situation where you might not want to let it fly.

Just sneeze.  Or you could make your BODY EXPLODE.

Doctors just published the case of a 34-year-old guy in the “BMJ Case Reports” journal.  The guy recently went to the emergency room in Leicester, England with a swollen neck and trouble swallowing.

It turned out he’d tried to stop a sneeze by pinching his nose and closing his mouth . . . but the sneeze wound up RUPTURING the back of his throat.  He needed a week of treatment in the hospital, which included eating through a feeding tube.

The doctors say that sneezes come out at about 150 miles-per-hour . . . so keeping that pressure in can potentially cause problems.  And sure, it’s rare . . . but you don’t want to be one of the few people it DOES happen to.
