It Turns Out Every WiFi Network in the World Is Vulnerable to Hackers and There’s Really Nothing You Can Do About It

Oh man, I hope Russia hasn’t heard about this.  So . . . um . . . if you’re listening, Comrades, maybe DO touch that dial?

Researchers in Belgium just found that WiFi isn’t safe.  Literally, EVERY WiFi network in the world uses a security protocol that has a flaw.  And that means it can be hacked.Hackers could use that flaw to intercept any data you send from your computer or your phone . . . including credit card info, passwords, emails, or your HOT NUDEZ.  They could also possibly put stuff on your computer, like a virus.

So what can you do about it?  Unfortunately, not much . . . it’s not like changing your passwords will fix this.  We’re kind of at the mercy of the companies and organizations that regulate the WiFi standards to come up with patches.

Until then, you can avoid public networks and stay on the one at home, because your router SHOULD have a little extra security to protect you.

But if you want to go more extreme, you could plug your computer into your router directly, instead of using wireless internet, and just use your phone’s data plan and not WiFi.

Today Is National Pasta Day . . . Here Are Five New Stats on Our Pasta Eating

Today is National Pasta Day, so hopefully you’re carbo-loading for a marathon tomorrow.  Marathons on random Wednesdays in October are totally a thing.

Anyway, a website called National Today ran a survey about our pasta eating habits in honor of the day.  And here’s what they found . . .

1.  75% of us eat pasta at least once a week . . . and about 5% eat it DAILY.

2.  Only 2.8% of us never eat pasta.

3.  The most popular pasta dish is cavatappi with mussels and fish sauce.  Just kidding.  It’s spaghetti, obviously.

4.  And the

A Stranded Family Was Rescued by the Harry Potter Train

These people got their kids lost in the middle of nowhere, and STILL ended up looking like the coolest parents ever . . .

Jon and Helen Cluett went on vacation to a remote part of Scotland last week with their four kids . . . ages 6, 8, 10, and 12.  And they took a canoe across a lake to stay in a tiny cottage for a night.  Apparently they’re an adventurous bunch.

But then overnight, the water came up and washed away their canoe.  So their only way out was a long walk through a swamp.

Luckily they had a cell signal though.  So they decided to call for help instead.  And check out how they got rescued . . .It turned out there were some train tracks about a quarter-mile away.  And the next train that was scheduled to pass by was the one from the HARRY POTTER movies.

In the movies, it’s the train they take to school each year called the Hogwarts Express.  There’s a replica of it you can ride at Universal Studios in Orlando.

In real life, the train is called The Jacobite, and does sightseeing tours.  The cops got in touch with the conductor, and had the train make an extra stop to pick them up.

most popular sauce is marinara . . . it got 52% of the vote.  Alfredo sauce came in second, at 44%.

5.  Thanks to that love of Alfredo sauce, two-thirds of people say they’d rather eat fettuccini Alfredo than mac and cheese.  And nine out of ten people prefer lasagna to baked ziti.
