Pringles Has Made an Entire Thanksgiving Dinner in Chip Form

Think it’s lazy to get carry-out for Thanksgiving instead of cooking dinner?  That’s not lazy.  THIS is lazy.  Pringles just created a Thanksgiving dinner in CHIP FORM.

It’s a box with eight different flavored stacks of Pringles:  Turkey . . . creamed corn . . . stuffing . . . mashed potatoes . . . cranberry sauce . . . green bean casserole . . . mac and cheese . . . and pumpkin pie.

Unfortunately, they’re just testing it out this year so you probably won’t be able to get your hands on it.  But assuming the tests go well, these could be everywhere next year.

40% of Us Faked a Sick Day This Year . . . Here Are the 10 Weirdest Excuses

According to a new survey, 40% of us called in sick at least once this year when we WEREN’T really sick.  That’s up 5% from 2016.  The most common reason was for a doctor’s appointment.  But is that really “faking” a sick day?

The rest of the top five REAL reasons were, “I just didn’t feel like working” . . . “I wanted to relax” . . . “I wanted to sleep in” . . . and “I needed to run errands.”  Now here are the ten WEIRDEST excuses bosses heard this year . . .

1.  An employee claimed they swallowed a toothpick at a restaurant.

2.  A guy couldn’t come in because he broke his arm wrestling a female bodybuilder.

3.  Someone, quote, “called in fat” because their uniform didn’t fit.

4.  A woman’s dog swallowed her keys, and she was waiting for them to come out.

5.  Their phone exploded and hurt their hand.

6.  There was a bear in their yard.

7.  A guy claimed he left all his clothing at a laundromat.

8.  They couldn’t come in because they didn’t have enough gas in their car.

9.  A woman’s fake nail fell off, and she needed an emergency manicure.

10.  Someone called in sick back in August, because they were afraid to be out during the solar eclipse.

Thanksgiving Dinner Should Only Cost You $49 This Year?

Every year, the American Farm Bureau Federation releases a study on how much it should cost you to serve Thanksgiving dinner.  And every year, it makes me REALLY want to find the stores THEY’RE shopping at.

This year, they say a Thanksgiving dinner for 10 people should only cost you . . . $49.12.  That’s down 2% from last year, and the lowest price in five years when you adjust for inflation.

For that 49 bucks, they say you should be able to get a 16-pound turkey . . . stuffing . . . sweet potatoes . . . rolls with butter . . . peas . . . cranberries . . . a veggie tray . . . pumpkin pie with whipped cream . . . coffee . . . and milk.

The reason the price went down this year is mainly because the prices of turkey and milk have slightly dropped.

This is the 32nd year in a row that the Farm Bureau has done this study.  When they started back in 1986, the dinner for 10 cost less than $28.74.  (When adjusted for inflation, that’s about the same as today.)
