According to a study that was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, coffee drinkers may live longer.

This research was taken place in the United Kingdom over the course of 10 years. It also studied around 500,000 adults. From their research, they found out that there is a lower risk of death among coffee drinkers.

Coffee drinkers that drank eight or more cups a day lowered one’s risk of death by 14%. Even drinking less than one cup a day showed it lowered early death by 6%.

These studies showed it didn’t matter if you drank either caffeinated coffee or decaf coffee, the power in this study is all about the coffee bean.

So make sure you enjoy your cup of joe today, it could lower your risk of a premature death.

You can see ABC News’ chief medical correspondent Dr. Jen Ashton give her insight into this study.
