Coldplay’s Chris Martin is working really hard to make sure their upcoming tour is as eco-friendly as possible. The “Music of the Spheres” singer says there’s “still a long way to go.” Martin says they have been working with some “amazing brains” to figure out how the tour can run on 100 percent renewable energy.

Martin says they’re trying to, “cut down as much of the environmental impact as possible. We still have quite a long way to go, but we’ve already come quite a long way. And there are some things that we didn’t dream were possible that are possible.”

Coldplay’s bassist, Guy Berryman told NME that the band had made a great start planning sustainable shows, “Whatever we end up doing, will be a Phase One, but there always has to be an improvement and a continual cycle,” said Berryman. The plan is the “embrace the idea of continued progress. It has to be an ever-evolving situation.”
