Schwimmer Parodied The Original Burglary Video on Twitter
This week police in Blackpool, England released CCTV footage of a robbery at a convenience store with the suspect looking eerily close to Schwimmer’s character, Ross, in the TV show Friends.
Thousands of the show’s fans flooded Blackpool police with jokes, and Schwimmer even got in on the act by creating a spoof video re-enacting the crime. Schwimmer posted on his Twitter feed, “Officers, I swear it wasn’t me. As you can see, I was in New York” as the video shows him trying to getaway with a bunch of beer.
Other’s posted on the Blackpool police Facebook page with “it’s not been his day, his month, or even his year”.
Blackpool police have confirmed that Schwimmer is not a suspect in the alleged crime. The original post by Blackpool police had more than 100,000 comments and been shared more than 65,000 times!
