Feeling Sick After Halloween Candy Binge? Here’s How To Fix It!

If you’re anything like me, you bought a bunch of candy for trick-or-treaters and ate the majority of it yourself. Or maybe you raided your kids’ stash when you got home. Either way, you’re probably feeling pretty sick right now. Here’s how to detox after a super binge.

1) Eat a good breakfast
Opt for a low-sugar, high-protein meal with plenty of healthy fats. Think turkey bacon, eggs, avocado, quinoa, and/or greek yogurt.

2) Sweat it out
Nothing makes you feel better than getting your blood pumping. While sleeping in after a long night out may seem more pleasant, getting your body moving and eliminated waste via sweat is going to make you feel much better in the long run.

3) Eat tons of fiber
We’re talking veggies, fruits, legumes, air-popped popcorn. Fiber not only makes you feel full for longer, it also helps to clean out all of last night’s candy.

4) Drink Up
You can’t properly function or eliminate waste if you’re not hydrated. Drink at least 64 ounces of water throughout the day. Coconut water is rich in electrolytes which is great if you’re a little hung over as well. For extra detox power, add some lemon wedges to your water.
