I Grew My Own Lettuce!

I saw it on the internet!

So, I tried it and it really works.

There was a series of photos that went viral a few weeks ago. The photos showed that you can cut the bottom of your head of Romaine Lettuce off, put it in a cup of water, and it will magically start growing more Romaine Lettuce! I eat a lot of lettuce. I try to watch my girlish figure and I like to feel healthy and energized. So, I eat a lot of salads. Even if I have a sandwich, I’ll add a ton of lettuce. I’ll put it in a rice bowl. I’ll put steak, fish or chicken on top of a bed of lettuce. The more lettuce, the better. But, it can get expensive! So, I decided to do what the internet told me to do. I chopped off the bottom of my head of lettuce, put it in a little bowl with water, put it where it will get sunlight, changed the water every so often and patiently waited for the magic to happen. I waited a week and no magic happened. I was going to throw the lettuce bottom away when I saw a friend posting about her magic water lettuce. It worked for her! So, I left it as-is. The next day, voila! It started growing lettuce leaves! If all goes well, I will start several of these at different times so that I always have free lettuce growing in my kitchen. Magic is awesome.

Also, apparently it’s not magic. It’s science.

Here’s how to do it!
