Kesha’s continuing legal battle with former producer Dr. Luke just got a little more expensive.
A New York State Supreme Court judge ruled that a text Kesha sent to Lady Gaga about Dr. Luke was defamatory. The message said that Luke had raped Katy Perry. The judge says there is no evidence to the claim and even sending it to one person “is sufficient to impose liability.” The judge also found Kesha in breach of contract with Dr. Lukes company over royalty payments and has ordered Kesha to pay over $373,000.
