Always think twice before you say something mean.
Back in 1999, 60 Minutes did an interview with Amazon’s CEO & Founder Jeff Bezos. Throughout the entire interview, Bob Simon would make some silly but little mean remarks on where their building was located, or how the office looked like a college dorm rather than a corporate office and even made fun of the simplicity of Jeff Bezos’ desk.
Now almost 20 years later, Amazon is one of the world’s leading e-retailer with more than 310 million active customer accounts worldwide. It’s even considered to be one of the most valuable brands worldwide.
I’m sure Bob Simon regrets saying mean things about the mogul and billionaire. It just makes you think, don’t judge someone on what they have but what they have to offer.
