Jane is having a Thanksgiving debacle concerning her sons girlfriend:
My son is bringing his girlfriend home for Thanksgiving for the first time, and she has a special request… She wants everything to be ‘organic’. Apparently it’s part of a ‘special diet’ she’s on. We’re not rich, and food is already expensive enough, but buying all organic is going to cost even MORE money. It can be a pain to try to find organic turkey, ingredients, & greens, etc. Would if be rude if I asked my son and his girlfriend to pitch in for the cost of the meal? Should I just buy regular food and tell her to deal with it? Or should I lie and say it’s all organic when it isn’t? Jane, 60What do you think? Should Jane spring for organic and ask for some financial help to cover the difference?
