This time I went to CousCous Mediterranean Grill. I’ve been there before…for couscous, which was delicious.
They even have a salad with couscous in it! But, I didn’t get that. I got the Mediterranean Shwarma Salad. It’s got lettuce, shwarma, olives, tomato, red onions, cucumber & feta. Shwarma is like gyro meat, but with a slightly different taste. It was really good!
I got it to go, but the lettuce stayed non-wilted because they use Romaine. The best part about it was the dressing. I don’t even know what was in it! They didn’t give me a choice, it’s just what the salad came with. It was sort of like a vinegarette, but more lemony. And there was maybe some basil. It was yellowish, so I assume there was some turmeric. Either way, I loved it!
Also, the people working were really nice. I went to the one in Murray on 900 E., but they also have locations in Sugar House and Farmington.
Their menu is on the healthy side. The owner was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2008 and now lives a healthy lifestyle.
I’ll be going back whenever I go to Big Lots! (it’s right next door, convenient!)
