Terry has stepped into a very different role.
You may know him as the eccentric, rich guy from White Chicks, as the “Old Spice” guy, or the hilarious Sgt. Terry Jeffords on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. But he is taking on the role of an activist to discuss sexual assault.
He spoke before a senate judiciary committee yesterday, in hopes to reduce the stigma faced by survivors. He also urged more male survivors to come forward.
Last October, Crews publicly accused a Hollywood executive of groping him at an industry event. When asked by Senator Feinstein (D-California) why he didn’t just fight the offender off, Crews responded with “As a black man in America. You only have a few shots at success. You only have a few chances to make yourself a viable member of a community.”
