I never really thought about it, but unicorns really aren’t that hard to imagine.
Twitter user Kyle Brownlee posted a pretty obvious question over the weekend:
how are unicorns fake but giraffes are real like what’s more believable a horse with a horn or a leopard-moose-camel with a 40 foot neck

He goes on to compare the creatures side-by-side and you know what? He makes a really great point.
yeah you tell me which mf looks like it’s from a different planet pic.twitter.com/wajaMQ5yWo

Needless to say, this comparison shot sparked a thread that pretty quickly got out of control.
The fossil record of our planet reads like a fantasy novel. There used to be animals the size of the leopard-moose-camel THAT COULD FLY. Tell me dragons are less realistic than this. pic.twitter.com/SvmXKu2wDJ

Wanna know something else? Well, have 2 facts:
1) giraffes actually have the same number of neck bones as humans (theirs are just bigger), and
2) they have the longest tongues in the animal kingdom. pic.twitter.com/PMUf8JuYMu

Here’s another thing. NARWHALS ARE REAL BUT UNICORNS ARENT???

I feel like the unicorn evolved into a giraffe. You’ll notice they share similar finger bones.
