It’s time for the Mix 105.1 2017 Pet Costume Contest!
Join us on Saturday, October 21st at University Place in Orem!
Our Pets are family, so why shouldn’t they be able to dress up and be rewarded this Halloween?
Mix 105.1 is giving our beloved pets this opportunity!
Pet owners will be able to register on-site on October 21st!
On the day of the event, listeners will show their costume-clad pals to a panel of judges who will then award scores to each pet.
Prizes will be given out to the top 3 scoring pet costumes.
First place will receive $1000!
This year we’re introducing a Talent portion! If you have a talented pet and you want to show off their skills, post a video to Instagram and hashtag it #1051pets! (Remember, we can only see it if your account is set to public!)
Broadview University will on on-site providing FREE pet Check-Ups!
DogPoopBags.com will also be on-site, with FREE poop bags so we can keep University Place looking beautiful! Please pick up after your pet!

These are the specific contest rules for the “2017 Mix 105.1 Pet Costume Contest.” Contest date: October 21, 2017 from 1:30p – 5:00p MST. To compete in the Pet Costume Contest, participants must bring a pet that is dressed in a costume to University Place Mall Orchard (575 E University Pkwy, Orem, UT) on October 21st, 2017. Onsite open registration is available at University Place Mall at the Mix 105.1 tent on October 21st, 2017 from 1:30p – 3:00p MST. The talent showcase will begin at 3:00 pm and conclude at 3:30 pm. The Pet Costume Contest will begin at 3:30p and conclude around 5:00p MST. The contest will proceed as follows: i. Round 1: All pets will walk through. The judges will select their top 10 based on the criteria. ii. Round 2: The top 10 pets will walk through. The judges will select their top 5 based on the criteria. iii. Round 3: The top 5 pets will walk through. The judges will select the final 3 winners based on the criteria. (3) Pet Costume Contest participants will be selected based on the judging criteria below for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners and will receive the following prize: i. 1st place: $1000 cash prize ii. 2nd place: $100 mall gift card iii. 3rd place: $50 mall gift card. Talent winner: $100 mall gift card. The panel of KUDD Judges will select a winner based on the following criteria: i. How convincing the pet costume is. ii. How clever or cute the pet costume is. iii. Crowd participation. 1st place prize is valued at $1,000. 2nd place prize is valued at $100. 3rd place prize is valued at $50.
