Have you ever wondered how much it would cost to make a hit show like “Stranger Things”? Well, think no more. In an article published yesterday in “The Wall Street Journal“, people close to the show said each episode of Season 4 had a cost of $30 million. And with nine episodes, that’s a total of at least $270 million.
To put it in perspective, the final season of “Game of Thrones” had a cost of $15 million per episode. But comparably, “WandaVision”, “Loki”, and “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” cost $25 million an episode.
So this $30 million budget isn’t totally unheard of. But former seasons cost an average of $8 million an episode . . . so I’m curious to see what effects and sets are in store. The first part of season 4 hits Netflix on May 27th.
