Popping a Pimple Gives You the Same Thrill as Riding a Roller Coaster?

Wow, I could’ve saved a lot of money at amusement parks and carnivals as a teenager if I had known it would be JUST as fun to stay home playing with my acne.

People LOVE popping pimples, even though doctors tell us not to do it.  And lots of people even love watching YouTube videos of OTHER people popping massive pimples.

Daniel Kelly is a philosophy professor at Purdue University in Indiana, and he’s studied why we’re so drawn to DISGUSTING things.  Here’s his explanation . . .

Quote, “[Popping a pimple] is the same kind of thrill people get from, say, riding a roller coaster or bungee jumping.  It activates the experience [that] typically comes with a real kind of danger while actually being protected from harmful effects.”

In other words, we’re wired to get a lot of enjoyment from doing dangerous things.  And popping a pimple gives us that same quick hit of instant gratification . . . but it doesn’t put our lives in danger.

Two Guys at a Taco Bell Drive-Thru Refuse to Pull Up While Waiting for Their Food, and Get Arrested for Disturbing the Peace

Remember the story last month where 125 people ‘paid it forward’ at a McDonald’s drive-thru?  Then the 126th person snapped the streak, took their free food, and bolted?  Something tells me these two clowns would do that too . . .

A 19-year-old guy named Tyler Tyson and his 18-year-old friend Owen Lardizzone were at a Taco Bell drive-thru in Stuart, Florida last month.  (Just outside Port St. Lucie, about 40 miles north of Palm Beach.)

And after they paid, they were asked to pull up and park while they waited for their food, so they didn’t hold up the line.  But they refused, and said they didn’t CARE about all the cars behind them.  Everyone else could just wait.

It’s not clear how much food they ordered, but they ended up arguing with one of the people behind them.  And someone called the cops.

When police got there, the people in the other car were gone.  But Tyler and Owen were still walking around the parking lot yelling obscenities at people.

The cops arrested them for disturbing the peace.  Apparently it was for their parking lot antics.  But you could make a case for why just holding up the line should count too.

Owen was also charged with resisting arrest.  And it turned out their car had a bogus license plate, so they could be facing a fine.

There’s a New Service That Gives You Porsches-on-Demand For $2,000-a-Month

Instead of driving a Porsche, how about driving ALL of the Porsches?  Then no one will question the size of your junk.  Yeah.  That’s the trick.

Porsche is about to launch a new program called Porsche Passport, where you pay $2,000-a-month . . . and that gets you unlimited Porsches on demand.  Or you can pay $3,000 and have even more models to choose from.

You just use an app to pick the Porsche you want in the moment, and someone will drive it to wherever you are.  And you can drive it for as long or as short as you want, kind of like how the old Netflix DVD delivery worked.

Your membership comes with unlimited mileage and, frankly, it doesn’t sound like THAT bad of a deal . . . considering that a lot of Porches could run you that price per month anyway.

For now, they’re only going to be offering the service in Atlanta.  But if it’s successful, it could definitely expand to other places soon.
