Not to worry, this story has a happy ending! Officers were able to pick him up and take him to San Francisco Animal Care, where he earned the nickname Ponch! Which is Erik Estrada’s character’s name in CHiP’s.

No owners have come forward to claim the now famous chihuahua, he had a collar, but no tags, and no microchip. Always make sure your dog has tags!
