Cops Find Puma Cub In Bathroom

Police in Lahr, Germany recently found a mountain lion cub living in an apartment bathroom.

‘Tikim’ was purchased in the Czech Republic for 2,300 Euros (about $2,630 USD) and then illegally smuggled into Germany by car.

He was in good health when animal control officials found him playing in a bathtub.

“Keeping a puma in a small apartment is not only absolute animal cruelty, but also dangerous for the owners and neighbors. What looks small and cute now will later develop into a predator weighing up to 100 kilos. In addition, it was extremely concerning that Tikam didn’t have a record of rabies vaccination, so we had to quarantine him immediately and have him vaccinated to avoid a potential risk of infection,” saidFlorian Eiserlo, site manager of Four Paws Animal and Species Protection Center TIERART.
