Finally, Princess Beatrice has been named in the infamous sword incident where Ed Sheeran was struck on the cheek accidentally while the princess was trying to jokingly knight James Blunt.
Sheeran’s manager, Stuart Camp spoke about the 2016 incident to The Telegraph saying he hasn’t heard ‘hide nor hair’ from Princess Beatrice. ‘I got quite protective over that,’ said Camp. ‘Because we’ve never publicly commented on it.’
People were telling Camp that he should lie and say it was someone else who did it but Camp says he decided to say quiet about the whole incident. Camp said he thought, “I’m not lying, just because someone’s a f______ idiot. Because they’re thinking, yeah, I will get paralytic and take a sword off the wall. You’re just asking for trouble.”
Princess Beatrice was unaware that Sheeran was standing behind her while she was “knighting” James Blunt. Ed had to be rushed to the hospital after the incident for the gash on his cheek, he didn’t even realize he’d been cut until he was standing there with blood all over him.
