Taylor Swift Won Basically Everything at the “Billboard Music Awards” . . . Here are the Highlights

The “Billboard Music Awards” went down last night, and Taylor Swift won . . . well . . . everything.  Almost, anyway.  One Direction and Iggy Azalea also won a few awards. Taylor won Top Artist, Billboard Chart Achievement, Top Female Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Digital Songs Artist, along with Top Hot 100 Song and Top Streaming Song for”Shake It Off”. She also debuted the video for “Bad Blood”, which is loaded with guest stars, including Selena Gomez, Hailee Steinfeld, Kendrick Lamar, Zendaya, Jessica Alba, Lena Dunham, Gigi Hadid, Hayley Williams, Cindy Crawford, Ellen Pompeo, and Mariska Hargitay.

Kanye West performed the new song “All Day”, and the 2013 track “Black Skinhead”, but he was heavily edited. And Kylie and Kendall Jenner were slightly booed when they introduced him.

Molly Ringwald introduced Simple Minds, who played “Don’t You Forget About Me” to mark the 30th anniversary of “The Breakfast Club”.

Mariah Carey sang “Vision of Love” and “Infinity” and while she got a little shrill going for a high note, she was pretty much on point.

When One Direction won an award, Harry celebrated by grabbing Niall’s junk… Keep it classy boys!

The Edge Fell Off the Stage During a U2 Concert

Ironically U2 guitarist The Edge didn’t see the edge of the stage during a recent concert. He was just walking along, veering closer and closer to the edge while playing “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For,” then he just stepped right off the stage. Bono kept singing, the show must go on! Get the full story here.

Janet Jackson Has a New Album and Tour on the Way

We haven’t heard much from Janet Jackson over the past seven years, but that’s about to change. Over the weekend, she posted a video saying, quote, “I promised you’d hear it from my lips, and now you will.  This year:  New music, new world tour, a new movement.  I’ve been listening.  Let’s keep the conversation going.” That’s it . . . there aren’t any other details for now.  The video was taken inside a studio, but it doesn’t actually show Janet.  In fact, it’s kind of creepy and cryptic the way her voice-over is delivered.  For what it’s worth, she turned 49 on Saturday. You Can Win a Chance to Blow Stuff Up with Arnold Schwarzenegger

Last year, Arnold Schwarzenegger raised money for after-school programs by auctioning off chances to ride around in a tank with him and crush stuff.  Well, he’s doing it again, but he’s upping the ante. This time, the contest has the not-safe-for-work title, “Blow [Stuff] Up with Arnold”.  And that’s exactly what you’ll do:  Play with massive explosives and lay waste to a variety of things.  You get to bring a friend, and your travel and hotel expenses are paid, too. You get into the drawing by going to Omaze.com/Arnold and donating to the cause.  The more you give, the more chances you buy.  $10 buys you 100 entries, $25 buys you 250 entries, and so on. Mitt Romney and Evander Holyfield Boxed For Two Very Uneventful Rounds

Mitt Romney and Evander Holyfield had their charity boxing match in Salt Lake City on Friday night.  And it was even better than Mayweather / Pacquiao, because there was very little action, but nobody had to sit through 12 rounds of nothing, because Mitt’s wife Ann threw in the towel in Round 2. And that was even after Mitt scored a knockdown.  Okay, Evander took a dive for him, but still, it’s in the record books?  Romney Tweeted that they raised $1 million, which will help 40,000 blind people. “Buffy” Star Nicholas Brendon Has Been Arrested for the Third Time This Year

Former “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star Nicholas Brendon was arrested on Saturday in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  That’s the third time this year.  The charge, not surprisingly, was public intoxication and impairment. Yesterday he posted a shirtless selfie, saying, quote, “We are all human.”  He was arrested February for trashing a hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida . . . and in March for doing the same thing in Tallahassee. Brendon played Xander on “Buffy” and Kevin Lynch on “Criminal Minds”. Get the full story here.
