Ariana Grande Made a Video to Apologize for the “Whole Donut Fiasco”

Ariana Grande made a four-minute video to apologize for, quote, “the whole donut fiasco.”  To her credit, she admits that her initial apology, the one about the evils of child obesity and the food industry, was weak. She starts off by apologizing for her puffy cheeks from a recent wisdom tooth extraction, and then she gets to the meat of it:  Quote, “Seeing a video of yourself behaving poorly that you had no idea was taken is such a rude awakening. “I was so disgusted with myself.  I shoved my face in a pillow and wanted to disappear, but instead of that, I’m going to come forward, own up to what I did, take responsibility, and say I’m sorry. “I reacted in a way that wasn’t necessary to say the least but also wasn’t me at all.  I apologize for my poor choice of words and my behavior.  Seeing how ugly it looks when you behave a certain way makes you never want to behave that way again.” https://youtu.be/8G6BNwueFdg And the donut shop had their heath rating temporarily downgraded to a “B” after the incident because they’d left those donut trays out where a customer could lick and spit on them, you know theoretically. Ben Affleck Will Co-Write, Direct, and Star in a Stand-Alone “Batman” Movie

Ben Affkeck will be doing a stand-alone”Batman” movie, and he’ll also be co-writing and directing it. He’s already playing Batman in “Batman vs. Superman”, which comes out next March, “Suicide Squad”which is out next year, and in two “Justice League” movies.  The first one hits theaters in late 2017, and the second in 2019. The new “Batman” flick could be sandwiched between them, or it might not come out until 2020.  But word is Ben’s already working on the script with Geoff Johns, the Chief Creative Officer at DC Comics, and they might have a draft done by the end of the summer. We don’t know much about the plot, except it’ll be set in the same “universe” so, they won’t be ignoring anything Ben’s version of Batman does in the other films. By the way, the new, heavily armored batsuit from “Batman vs. Superman” is on display at Comic-Con.  We got a glimpse of it in the teaser trailer that came out in April, but now there are a bunch high-def close-ups online. Bill Murray Showed Up to Comic-Con as His Character from “Rock the Kasbah”

Bill Murray made a big entrance at his first Comic-Con panel in San Diego yesterday.  He plays a washed-up music promoter in his new movie “Rock the Kasbah” that comes out in October, and he showed up in Character. He wore a white leather jacket with aviator sunglasses and a bandana on his head.  And he didn’t come out from backstage, he walked through the crowd while “Smoke on the Water” played over the speakers. Once he was on stage, he started singing, sat down, told everyone to stay hydrated, which is sort of his “thing” now, and threw a full bottle of water into the crowd.  He did eventually break character to answer questions though, When someone asked what his favorite role has been, he said, quote, “Once upon a time, I did save the city of New York.  And I had the coolest damn car to drive around Manhattan.” He also talked about his upcoming Christmas special on Netflix, and how Miley Cyrus is in it.  Apparently he’s a very big fan.  Quote, “[She’s] really [effing] good . . . I thought she was a knucklehead crazy girl, the kind of girl you’d want to go on a road trip with.  But she can really sing . . . I don’t wanna hear any bad rapping on Miley.” Overall, he seemed to enjoy the whole Comic-Con experience. When a girl dressed like a unicorn started singing “It’s a Small World” at one point, his response was, “I could do this forever.” He also said he felt really comfortable around the people there, explaining that he likes it “when people get excited about something.”  Get more here.
