Hundreds of Thousands Evacuated Lollapalooza Due to Bad Weather
Lollapalooza was briefly evacuated due to severe weather yesterday. The photos showing around 100,000 people flooding out of the exits are crazy. . . but amazingly, the action was only halted temporarily. The gates re-opened at about 3:30 P.M. local time, and the schedule was only set back about 45 minutes. Get more here.

A New York Crowd Booed the Woman Who Called 911 for Bono, After She Insulted New Yorkers
Bono may have been seriously hurt in that bike accident last November, but he’s sure gotten a lot of mileage out of it. He brought it up again at a show in New York City last week. Bono’s special guests that night were the firefighters who saved him, and the woman who called 911. Both got the chance to speak. The firefighters invited him to dinner, and the 911 lady took the opportunity to insult the audience. After Bono said she was from Denver . . . she said, quote, “I have to clarify, it’s Alyssa and I’m from D.C., not Denver.Here’s what happened: I was running in Central Park, there was an accident, obviously I had to stop and help because I’m not from New York, I’m from Virginia, where people are nice, I called 911 because no one else was doing it.” The crowd booed loudly, and she added, quote, “Sorry, New York people, he would not be here tonight if it weren’t for me!” Get more here.
Charlize Theron Adopted Another Baby
Charlize Theron has adopted her second child, a baby girl named August. TMZ says she’s an African-American girl who was born on the U.S. She worked with an adoption agency for about six months, and brought August home in July. Charlize also has a 3-and-a-half-year-old son named Jackson, who was adopted from South Africa in 2012. Get more here.
“Rowdy” Roddy Piper is Dead at 61
The wrestling world has barely gotten over the death of Dusty Rhodes in June, but now there’s another, even greater, loss to contend with. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper died in his sleep Thursday night after suffering a heart attack. He was 61 years old. Piper had been diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2006, but was reportedly cancer-free at the time of his death. Roddy was from Canada, but he played up his Scottish heritage, wearing a kilt to the ring and coming out to bagpipe music. He was born Roderick Toombs, and he wrestled his first match when he was 15. Piper’s influence on the wrestling business, especially when it comes to bad guys, can’t be overstated. His feud with Hulk Hogan and Mr. T back in the ’80s put pro wrestling on the map. Piper also did some acting. His most famous film was sci-fi classic “They Live” from 1988. The movie included the classic line, “I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass . . . and I’m all outta bubblegum.” Celebs took to social media to honor the wrestler. Get more here.
Ronda Rousey Won Her Fight in 34 Seconds
UFC women’s champ “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey destroyed yet another opponent. Ronda knocked out Brazilian Bethe Correia in 34 seconds. Ronda is undefeated and has rarely, if ever, been challenged by an opponent. She has won her last four fights in 34 seconds, 14 seconds, 16 seconds, and 66 seconds. Ronda borrowed her nickname from Piper, and when she heard he’d died, she dedicated her fight to him. Get more here.
Bobby Brown’s Sister Was Kicked Out of Bobbi Kristina’s Funeral for Threatening Pat Houston
Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston’s families haven’t been on good terms for years now, and so not surprisingly, there was some drama at Bobbi Kristina Brown’s funeral over the weekend. Things were fine until Whitney’s sister-in-law Pat Houston got up to speak. It’s unclear what she said, but something upset Bobby’s sister Leolah Brown. There was some sort of outburst, and Leolah was escorted out. Outside, she walked up to some reporters, and said, quote, “It was wonderful until Pat started speaking and I didn’t like that, so I left. I just told her that Whitney was going to haunt her from the grave. “Pat, it’s not over. It has just begun.” After a few minutes, she was allowed to reenter the church for the rest of the service. Bobbi Kristina’s cousin Meeta, said after the service that Leolah is “crazy,” and that the Browns and the Houstons are getting along fine. Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend Nick Gordon was not at the funeral, despite his pleas to be there. A lot of people believe he had something to do with the incident that led to her death, but that’s still under investigation. The service ended with Whitney’s version of “Jesus Loves Me”. Dennis Rodman, Drunk at the Car Wash
According to several eyewitnesses Dennis Rodman showed up wasted to a car wash, and it was obvious enough that someone called the cops. Several people, including employees say he smelled of alcohol and was acting weird. He walked up to a man and put his hand on his shoulder and said, “Hey white guy.” And they say he walked up to several girls, telling them they were hot and they should check out his boat in Newport. People were concerned he might get behind the wheel after his car got spiffed up. We’re told the cops informed Rodman he could not drive away, and that’s when a woman came up and offered to drive him home. We’re told Dennis obliged. A rep for Dennis Rodman told TMZ, Dennis had no intention of getting behind the wheel and his girlfriend drove to and from the carwash. Get more here.
