Coldplay Will Headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show
Over the past few months, a lot of acts were rumored to be headlining the Super Bowl halftime show, including Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, and One Direction. But in the end, the NFL went with Coldplay. And according to reports, Beyonce may also be joining them for “Hymn on the Weekend”. The NFL says other acts will join them, but didn’t elaborate. Coldplay’s new album “A Head Full of Dreams” is out today. The Super Bowl is happening at Levi’s Stadium where the San Francisco 49ers play on February 7th. Naturally, the haters are already complaining about it on the Internet with Tweets like, quote, “Someone should run the concussion protocol on whoever picks Super Bowl halftime talent.” “The NFL doesn’t even know what a catch is, so I don’t expect them to know what a good band is.” “Nothing says hard-nosed gridiron football like an acoustic version of ‘Yellow’.” And “Coldplay is the clip-on-man-bun of bands.” Get more here.

Mark Hamill is in a new video for the charity Force for Change, where he walks around Hollywood dressed as a storm trooper. He did it on Hollywood Boulevard, where there are always people in costumes taking pictures with tourists. And he never took his helmet off, so no one knew it was him. Amy Poehler was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday. Amy’s pals were there to celebrate with her, including: Mike Schur, Maya Rudolph, and Rashida Jones. Rashida Jones read a speech from “Johnny Depp” Addressed to”my golden haloed-angel baby” Amy said “I’ve been told I’m in-between Roseanne Barr and Sally Field, which also describes my career in a way, if I play my cards right.” She also gave a shout out to her two kids, Abel and Archie. “Thanks for coming to this weird thing, and thank you for understanding all the time when I have to go to work. Did “Orange Is the New Black” Star Dascha Polanco Beat Up a Teenage Girl?
Dascha Polanco plays an inmate named Daya on “Orange Is the New Black”, and now she’s in some legal trouble in real life. She’s facing criminal charges for allegedly beating up a 17-year-old girl this past summer. The girl claims Dascha punched her in the head three times, pulled her hair, and clawed her arms with her nails. Dascha’s lawyer isn’t denying the altercation. But he says the girl’s story is an exaggeration, and that it’s an extortion attempt. He adds that the girl often does drugs in her building, but lives somewhere else in the neighborhood. We heard in October that “Playboy” was going PG-13 next year, with no full nudity anymore. Which is great news if you really are just a fan of the articles. And yesterday they announced that the cover of the final full-smut issue will feature Pamela Anderson. She posted the cover on Instagram. It’s the 14th time she’s been on the cover of “Playboy”. The first time was in 1989, and her last cover was in 2011. She says Hugh Hefner made the first move. Quote, “I got a call from [his] attorney who said, ‘We don’t want anybody else.'” So she ran it by her two sons, who are 19 and 17 now, and they said go for it. Get more here.
