Miley Cyrus Says Hannah Montana Is Dead and Buried in the Backyard

Miley Cyrus has distanced herself from her Disney Channel days so much that it’s easy to forget “Hannah Montana” ever existed. And Miley continued to make that point in a new Instagram photo where she’s wearing her Hannah wig. She wrote a long message to go with it that included the sentiment, quote, “Even though Hannah Montana is chopped up into little tiny pieces and buried in my backyard, she will always hold a very special place in my heart!” That sounds sarcastic, but it was actually a tribute to the show because yesterday was the 10th anniversary of its debut. And the “buried it the backyard” thing may have been a reference to her saying Hannah was murdered in her opening monologue on “Saturday Night Live” two years ago. Miley also sent love to the other cast members, saying, “Even though I feel disconnected to who I was at that time, I’ll always feel eternally grateful for the opportunity and platform I was given.” Get more here.

@realdukeofearles understands the insanity of it all….. Sending love to all my cast members on this anniversary …. To the world it's a celebration of 10 years but for us the journey began way before the world had any clue who the fuck any of us are ….. There was a very long auditioning process, and many chemistry reads which really is what sold the show to the producers and channel because no matter what went on over the years (which none of you have any clue about but It was like the real world but more hormonal teenagers) our love for each other was unquestionable…. Even though I feel disconnected to who I was at that time I will always feel eternally grateful for the opportunity and platform I was given …. None of it would have been possible with out every single person who ever contributed to the series …. From regulars , to special guests (and there were many magical ones @dollyparton) to creators, crew , directors….. I am where I am because of loyal fans that I am thankful for and of course love dearly all the new angels who support me now….. Even though HM is chopped up into little tiny pieces and buried in my backyard she will always hold a very special place in my heart! Celebrate this day with us! Get real drunk and remember send pics gettinnnnn buck wild in honor of this special day! #letsplayadrinkinggame watch HM and every time someone says her name take a shot! Yiew hew!

Snoop Dogg Has a New Web Series Called “Planet Snoop”

Your prayers have been answered! Snoop Dogg has started his own web series in which he’ll narrate nature videos. The whole thing started when Snoop was on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and they did a bit appropriately called “Plizzanet Earth.” The internet loved it and demanded more! So much so they started a petition to get Snoop to narrate an entire season of the BBC Documentary “Planet Earth.” That didn’t happen, but Snoop knows what you want, so he started a web series! Garry Shandling Has Died

Garry Shandling died suddenly at his home yesterday morning. He was 66. According to reports, he suffered a massive heart attack. He called 911 himself, but fell unconscious while he was on the line. When the paramedics showed up, no one else was home so they had to kick down the door. Sources say he seemed in good health prior to his death, but in a January appearance on Jerry Seinfeld’s series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee”, he mentioned a health issue, although it was framed as a joke. He said, quote, “So, it turns out, I had a hyper-parathyroid gland that was un-diagnosed because the symptoms mirrored the exact same symptoms an older Jewish man would have, you’re lethargic, you get puffy, you get heavy, you kinda feel like you want a divorce even though you’re not married.” It’s unclear if that would’ve played any role in his death. But coincidentally, the episode was titled “It’s Great That Garry Shandling Is Still Alive.”

Garry started out writing for sitcoms like “Sandford and Son” and “Welcome Back, Kotter”. He also starred on the Showtime sitcom “It’s Garry Shandling’s Show” in the late-’80s. He became a regular stand-up comic on “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson”, and was a contender to replace him. He didn’t get the gig, of course, but it did lead to him doing”The Larry Sanders Show” on HBO. It was a spoof that went behind the scenes of a fictional late night talk show, and it inspired “Curb Your Enthusiasm”, “30 Rock”, and “The Office”. HBO is going to start re-running it, but there’s no word when yet.

During his three-decade career, Garry was nominated for 19 Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards, but only won one Emmy . . . for co-writing the series finale of “The Larry Sanders Show”.

Your kids probably know him best as Senator Stern, the guy who gives Tony Stark grief in “Iron Man 2” and then has to pin a medal on him by the end of the movie. He also played that same character in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”.

Conan O’Brien did a great tribute to Garry on his show last night. He talked about spending a week in Hawaii with Garry after he was fired from “The Tonight Show”.

Amanda Bynes Wasn’t Invited to the “All That” Reunion

Even though Amanda was a core member of the Nickelodeon show “All That,” she says she wasn’t invited to the reunion. Her success on the show led to Amanda getting her own show on the network “The Amanda Show.” It’s somewhat baffling that they wouldn’t invite her, but she told friends that she wouldn’t go even if she was invited. Amanda is focusing on her health and fashion now, and not acting. Get more here.

Paul McCartney Will Be in the Next “Pirates of the Caribbean” Movie

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise already got a Rolling Stone, when Keith Richards played Johnny Depp’s father in “At World’s End” and “On Stranger Tides”. Now it’s getting a Beatle. Paul McCartney has filmed a scene for the next movie, “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales”. There’s no word who he’ll play but it sounds like it’s going to be a pretty brief appearance. In addition to Depp, Geoffrey Russ and Orlando Bloom are also returning, while Javier Bardem is playing the villain. Get more here.
