“Star Trek” Legend Leonard Nimoy Is Dead at 83
“Star Trek” legend Leonard Nimoy passed away on Friday morning after a long battle with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). He was 83. Last year, he said he’d given up smoking 30 years ago, but it wasn’t soon enough. Leonard was hospitalized two weeks ago for chest pain. A few days before his death, he sent out his last Tweet: Quote, “A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. [Live Long and Prosper]. Nimoy started playing Spock in 1966. “Star Trek” only ran for three years, but the cast came back for six movies . . . between 1979 and 1991. Nimoy directed two of them. He also appeared in a two-part “Star Trek: The Next Generation” episode called”Unification”. When they rebooted the movies in 2009, he returned as the older version of Spock for both films. William Shatner Was Unable to Make Leonard Nimoy’s Funeral

Even though William Shatner said he “loved” Leonard Nimoy, he missed his funeral yesterday morning. Some people criticized him for it, but Shatner said he honored a previous commitment to attend a charity event for the Red Cross in Florida, and wasn’t able to make it back to L.A. in time. He said, quote, “I feel really awful. Here I am doing charity work and one of my dearest friends is being buried . . . “So, let’s spend some time [on Sunday] celebrating his life, and remembering the man.” And Shatner held true to his word. Yesterday, he spent some time answering questions from fans about Leonard on Twitter. Some reports describe it as him holding a “funeral” of his own online. Justin Bieber Turned 21
Justin Bieber rang in his 21st birthday drinking champagne on a private island! Sources close to Justin tell TMZ he rented a Caribbean isle near Grenada for the “I’m finally legal” bash, and based on this video, he had a great time celebrating with friends. Bieber’s best gift: a ’65 Lincoln Continental! According to reports, his friends John and Sammy Shahidi are responsible for the present, and when he received it on Thursday night, he went cruising up and down the Sunset Strip. Kelly Osbourne Quits Fashion Police!
The 30-year-old threatened to quit earlier this week, after her co-host Giuliana Rancic made insensitive comments about Zendaya’s hair at the Oscars. Giuliana publicly apologized to Zendaya and Kelly seemingly moved on. Kelly, who has been on the show since 2010, was reportedly unhappy with the show’s revamp after Joan Rivers passed away last year. Kathy Griffin was brought in as Joan’s replacement, and Brad Goreski replaced George Kotsiopoulos. The network released the following statement Friday afternoon: “Kelly Osbourne is departing E!s Fashion Police to pursue other opportunities, and we would like to thank her for her many contributions to the series over the past five years, during which time the show became a hit with viewers. Fashion Police will return, as scheduled, on Friday, March 30th at 9:00 p.m. and no decisions have been made on her replacement.” Kelly’s mom, Sharon Osbourne tweeted her support for her daughters actions. And the criminals, reporting it from an anonymous call, claim the pearls on the dress were appraised and found to be worthless. Women’s Creative Director of Calvin Klein Collection, explained: “Did anyone ever say they were real from Calvin Klein? I always assumed everyone knew they were fake, but I guess not. Do they really make dresses out of real jewels since Cleopatra died?” Lupita herself was very happy to see the dress returned, releasing a statement saying: “I’m happy that it has been potentially recovered. Michelle Rodriguez Apologizes for Controversial Comments About Minority Actors in Superhero Films
The controversy began on Friday, when Rodriguez was jokingly asked by a TMZ cameraman outside of Hollywood hotspot Katsuya if she would be starring as The Green Lantern. “That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard,” the Furious 7 actress, 36, sniped in response. “Because of this whole ‘minorities in Hollywood’ thing. It’s so stupid. It’s like, you know, stop stealing all the white people’s superheroes. Make up your own.” Naturally, her comments elicited outrage from fans, prompting Rodriguez to issue a public apology on Saturday.
