Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Meets Fan with Cancer During Emotional Easter Sunday Run-In
The Rock’s Easter Sunday included a chance meeting with a young fan with cancer, and it touched him so deeply, he posted the story on Instagram along with a picture of himself with the kid. It was after a workout at the gym. Yeah, I guess The Rock even works out on Easter Sunday. He said, quote, “This kid runs up to me, hugs the hell outta me and says it’s been his life’s dream to meet me and tell me how much I’ve inspired him to fight cancer and hardcore chemo and stem cell transplant treatments. “He was a little teary eyed and said for months and months all he’s wanted to do was find me and say this face to face. I told him what it meant to me to hear this story. I thanked him, hugged him (and his friends), got back in my truck and drove away. “As I’m drivin’ I start shaking my head (and tearing up) at how fragile life is and how amazing and cool the universe was to make this meeting happen . . . Let’s always take a moment to count our blessings . . . ’cause there’s always something to be grateful for.” Get the full story here.

Is NBC Doing a “Downton Abbey” Prequel Set in New York City?
“Downton Abbey” is coming to an end, but the show’s creator is talking with NBC about doing a prequel series called “The Gilded Age”. It would be about the high society families of New York in the late 19th Century, with people like Cornelius Vanderbilt, John Jacob Astor, and John D. Rockefeller. One source described it as, quote, “the American Downton.” Since this is a prequel, creator Julian Fellowes says, quote, “Robert Grantham would be in his early teens, Cora would be a child. A young Violet could make an appearance.” The show isn’t a done deal yet, but it sounds like it’ll happen. Get the full story here.
