Singer Claims Beyonce Ripped Off ‘XO’ Melody, Files $3 Million Lawsuit

A Backup Singer is claiming that Beyonce stole his melody for her hit song “XO”.  “I believe my copyrighted musical work has been infringed upon,” a 27-year-old artist named Javon contends in a new federal lawsuit.He’s asking for millions in damages from Knowles in the handwritten complaint that he filed in New York without a lawyer. Get the full story here.

AC/DC’s Drummer Was Arrested for Trying to Have Two Men Killed

AC/DC drummer Phill Rudd was arrested yesterday for attempting to hire a man to kill two other men.  There’s no word who the intended victims are, or why Rudd wants them dead.  Rudd was also charged with possession of meth and pot. Get the full story here.

A company launched an ad of Will Ferrell pushing a deal on a gun. Will never gave permission for his likeness to be used, but there was his beloved “Elf” character with an AR-15. The company which produced “Elf” was especially pissed and their lawyers sent a cease and desist. Benedict Cumberbatch is officially off the market.  He’s engaged to a theater director and actress named Sophie Hunter.  He’s 38, she’s 36. The engagement was announced without fanfare, in the “Forthcoming Marriages” section of London’s “Times” newspaper.  Benedict and Sophie met while doing theater together in 2009, but they’ve been pretty under-the-radar. Amanda Bynes’ Parents to Surrender Conservatorship

The parents of Amanda Bynes are throwing in the towel … they’ll file legal docs in the next few days handing over the conservatorship over their daughter to someone else, and then they’re moving to Texas, TMZ has learned. Sources familiar with the case tell TMZ  Amanda will now be under the thumb of a mental health professional who specializes in handling people with severe mental illnesses.
