Fun and Free Stuff for Memorial Weekend

Memorial Weekend is here and if you’re not hitting the road or airports- then here’s a list of things to do for you!

Participate in the National Moment of Remembrance- at 3pm local time, just pause in an act of National unity, to honor and remember the fallen soldiers that fought to protect our freedoms. 3pm was chosen because this is the time when most Americans are enjoying our freedoms on a national holiday!

 

Cheer on RSL! – Real Salt Lake is taking on the Philadelphia Union. It’s an early start time of 6pm! Active Military can get tickets for only $20, and all active military and their families eat FREE (while food supplies last) at the America First Credit Union Pavilion before the game (starting at 4:30p). www.RSL.com

Go see the Bee’s!- Bee’s games start at 6:35pm. Get your tix at any Smith’s Tix location. On Monday after the game, they’ll have fireworks!!!!

 

Animals for Armed Forces- Free puppies and kitties! The Humane Society of Utah will be covering 100% of the adoption fees for military and their immediate family!

 

Natural History Museum- They are kicking off a new exhibit for Summer called “Vikings- Beyond the Legend”. Hands on activities and legit viking stuff to marvel at!

 

Home Depot- A 10% discount is offered to all military veterans on Memorial Day to all veterans up to a maximum of $500. A year round 10% discount is available at all U.S. locations to active duty personnel, reservists, retired or disabled veterans and their immediate families. Must present a valid military ID.

Under Armour- From May 23rd to May 30th, veterans and active duty service members receive 15% off with a valid TroopID.
