Harry Styles Has Signed a Solo Record Deal
First Zayn left 1D for his solo career, then they went on hiatus, now Harry is going solo, too. Will One Direction ever reunite? Probably not. We’re thinking this is how a boy band ghosts it’s gargantuan tween fan following. Harry has signed a “lucrative” deal with Columbia Records, the same label One Direction was on. There’s no word on when we’ll be seeing an album from him, but last year he registered four songs with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. “Sharknado 4” Updates: Tara Reid Is Back, and a List of Cameos
“Sharknado: The 4th Awakens” premieres on July 31st, and there’s a new trailer and a bunch of official casting updates. For starters, the trailer reveals that Tara Reid’s character April survived. “Sharknado 3” ended with a cliffhanger, where it wasn’t clear if she lives or dies, and Syfy actually asked the fans to vote on her fate. Ian Ziering, David Hasselhoff and Ryan Newman will also be back. New cast members include: Gary Busey, Tommy Davidson, Imani Hakim from “Everybody Hates Chris”, Cody Linley from “Hannah Montana”, Masiela Lusha from the “George Lopez” sitcom, and model Cheryl Tiegs. Syfy also announced a new round of cameos, including: Carrot Top as an Uber driver, Gilbert Gottfried as a “Today” correspondent, wrestler Seth Rollins, Steve Guttenberg, The Hoff’s daughters Hayley and Taylor-Ann, MMA fighter Roy Nelson, and Paul Shaffer as himself. For Hundreds of Dollars, You Could Sing Karaoke with a Hologram of Rob Thomas
Rob Thomas from Matchbox Twenty is touring with Counting Crows this summer, and he’s offering something new at his shows. Fans who purchase a special V.I.P. package will have the opportunity to sing karaoke with a hologram of Rob, and you’ll be able to record your performance and share it on social media. So, you’re paying $500 to $1,000 more per ticket so that you can fake sing with a fake Rob Thomas? Okay. But to be fair, there’s a meet-and-greet too, but it’s unclear exactly what that entails. That’s a lot of cash to part with, but at the same time, this sounds kind of cool. We could see a lot of people wanting this. We could also see artists making a ton of money off this idea if they made it more affordable so even the regular, non-VIP people could do it. Get more here.
Kathrine Heigl is Pregnant With Her First Biological Child
Kathrine Heigl and husband Josh Kelley are parents to two girls, 7-year-old Naleigh Moon, and 4-year-old Adalaide Marie Hope, both through the miracle of adoption. But now the couple is expecting a boy, and the news came as a shock to them both. They had been discussing having another child, via adoption again when they found out. Kelly McGillis Was Attacked in Her Home
Remember Kelly McGillis from “Top Gun” and “Witness”? Well, she lives in North Carolina, and on Friday night she got attacked in her own home. She gave all the details on Facebook:
Ironically, Kelly said she has “quite a few guns and lots of ammo” in the house, and that made her feel less safe, because she was worried the woman could have gotten to a weapon. Luckily, she hadn’t. Kelly ended up with some scratches and bruises, but otherwise she’s OK. She asked for people to pray for the woman and her daughter. She also threw in some product placement. She said her Otter Box kept her phone in decent shape, even though she ran over it with her truck, and her RayBans are still wearable, despite being, quote, “ripped from my face and stomped on I don’t know how many times.” She posted a follow up:
