The Most Beautiful Celebrities According to Science
Johnny Deep let the most beautiful women in the world get away – according to science, anyway. There’s a thing called “The Golden Ratio”, and it goes all the way back to ancient Greece. It’s a standard of beauty based on the ratio of Phi, which is 1.618. It’s a little too mathemaniacal for us to understand, being radio people and all. But basically, it comes down to all the stuff on your face, your nose, mouth, eyes, eyebrows, etc, and the various distances between them. Or something like that. Anyway, a British cosmetic surgeon came up with a face-mapping program that calculates just how close a person is to that Golden Ratio. They tested a bunch of celebrities, and Amber Heard came out on top.
Here’s the top ten:
- Amber Heard
- Kim Kardashian
- Kate Moss
- Emily Ratajkowski
- Kendall Jenner
- Helen Mirren
- Scarlett Johansson
- Selena Gomez
- Marilyn Monroe
- Jennifer Lawrence
The differences between Amber at #1 and Jennifer at #10 are minimal, only two and a half percent. They also determined who had the most attractive individual facial components. And they found that Amber has the best nose and chin. Kate Moss has the best forehead, while Kim Kardashian has the best eyebrows. But Scarlett Johannson has the best eyes. Emily Ratajkowski has the best lips, and Rihanna has the best face shape, even though she didn’t make the overall Top 10. Rihanna Was in Nice, France During Attack
Rihanna was supposed to play in Nice, France tonight as part of her Anti World Tour, but that’s not happening. As you know there was a horrific terror attack in the city last night during Bastille celebrations. Rihanna’s reps confirmed that she is safe, though she was in the area. Nice city official, Christian Estrosi, stated “Tomorrow the flags of the city will be at half mast. After the cancellation of the Rihanna concert, jazz festival is also canceled. [rough translation]” Rihanna expressed her condolences on Instagram:

“Game of Thrones” Dominated the 2016 Emmy Nominations
They announced the 2016 Emmy nominations yesterday, and “Game of Thrones” led the pack for the third year in a row with 23 nominations, one less than last year. It’s getting to be pretty predictable. Here’s what’s less predictable: Coming in second was “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story”, that limited series on FX. It got 22 nominations. And “Fargo” got 18 nominations; that’s on FX too. “Veep” came in fourth with 17; that’s the most nominations for a comedy. And it’s on HBO, so obviously HBO and FX are pumped.
Shows that got 10 nominations or more:
“Game of Thrones”, 23
“The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story”, 22
“Fargo”, 18
“Veep”, 17
“Saturday Night Live”, 16
“House of Cards”, 13
“The Night Manager”, 12
“Silicon Valley”, 11
“Downton Abbey”, 10
“Grease: Live”, 10
“Transparent”, 10
“Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” with Jerry Seinfeld up for Best Variety Talk Series, against the Jimmy’s both Fallon and Kimmel
David Schwimmer is up for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series for “The People v. O.J. Simpson”.
And most random of all, remember Laurie Metcalf, Roseanne’s younger sister on “Roseanne” back in the day? She’s nominated for three different Emmy categories this year: Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series, and Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series. She hasn’t been nominated since the “Roseanne” days back in 1994.
And here are some of the SNUBS people are talking about:
“Orange Is the New Black” is at a critical peak, but only received one nomination this year.
And “Girls” got nothing, even though people say it’s at its best yet.
Lady Gaga won a Golden Globe for “American Horror Story: Hotel”, but didn’t even get nominated for an Emmy.
And Christian Slater won a Golden Globe for “Mr. Robot” earlier this year, yet no Emmy nomination.
The same thing happened to Rachel Bloom and “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”. People say it’s one of the best new shows, and it won a Golden Globe, but no Emmy nod.
“American Idol” didn’t get any love for its final season, although Ryan Seacrest is up for hosting duties.
And there was no love for the show “Outlander” on Starz.
Oh, and nothing for Jim Parsons from “The Big Bang Theory”. But does he really need another nomination?
Also, you could argue that Sophie Turner deserved something for “Game of Thrones” Sansa had a bigger character arc this season than Arya. But it’s not like the show needs any more nominations or awards.
“The 68th Primetime Emmy Awards” will air live on ABC on September 18th. Jimmy Kimmel is hosting. Get more here.
Kim Kardashian Attacks Taylor for Being Fake
Meanwhile, in a preview clip for this week’s episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”, Kim Kardashian rips into Taylor for lying about her involvement in Kanye West’s song “Famous”. And she was planning to admit it, until she saw the negative reaction the song got. On Sunday’s show, Kim says, quote, “I’ve so had it . . . Welcome to today’s episode of everyone’s favorite talk show, “Tara Reid Finally Gets It!” Today, Tara finally asks of herself the question we’ve been asking her for years. But first, some context: Tara was on an Australian talk show, discussing her latest projects which include “Sharknado 4” and an Indian movie called “Tie the Knot”. If you know anything about India’s infamous Bollywood movies, then you know they’re full of song and dance numbers. And Tara said, quote, “You’re talking and people just break out into a dance . . . to me it’s even weirder than ‘Sharknado’.” And now we get to Tara’s big revelation, quote, “I was doing that movie and ‘Sharknado’ at the same time, and I’m like, ‘What am I doing anymore, like, what’s happening? Where did my career go from?” Yes, Tara, where did your career go? We’ve only been asking you that regularly, since “Josie and the Pussycats” came out 15 years ago. But better late than never.
