The “MTV Video Music Award” Nominees Are Out – Taylor Swift Snubbed
The nominees for the “MTV Video Music Awards” were announced yesterday, and Beyonce leads the way with 11, including nods for Video of the Year and Best Female Video. Adele is next with eight. The nominees for Video of the Year are: “Formation” by Beyoncé, “Hello” by Adele, “Hotline Bling” by Drake, “Sorry” by Justin Bieber, and the controversial “Famous” by Kanye West. The snubs included Taylor Swift, who received zero nominations, despite the fact that she put out 3 videos in the past year. Nick Jonas also didn’t get a nomination. He Tweeted:

Among them, the late David Bowie scored four nominations. “Lazarus” was nominated for Best Editing, Best Cinematography, and Best Direction, and “Blackstar” was nominated for Best Art Direction. Nick Jonas Will Be On ‘Running Wild With Bear Grylls’
Calling all Nick Jonas fans, now’s your chance to see Nick like you’ve never seen him before, freezing, exhausted, and trying not to die. The Jonas brother will join Bear in the Sierra Nevadas, where temps hit -29 degrees in the winter. Despite the balmy temps they’re currently experiencing, the episode was filmed in the winter, and it looks cold. Check out the preview:

For those who don’t know, Nick Jonas has diabetes, making this challenge even more difficult. Bear himself told EW Canada “He did so well, what a great guy. Mariah Carey Has Her Own Entrance Music
Mariah Carey has a reputation for being a diva, and so it’s possible that the “New York Post” is right when they claim she will ‘only’ walk into a restaurant when her own songs are playing. Mariah was in Italy last weekend, and went to a place called Ristorante Aurora. Supposedly, everyone there was having a quiet meal, when some Mariah Carey song started blaring on the speakers and then she walked in with her fiancé James Packer. Sadly, there’s no word what song it was. We can only hope it was “Hero”. A source says, quote, “She literally had an entrance song [it seemed like her entourage] brought the playlist and asked the restaurant to play it.” Her songs played the rest of the night. Meanwhile, Mariah also told an amusing story to “Complex”. Quote, “This’ll be marriage Number Three. My bishop said to me, ‘I don’t want you to go Elizabeth Taylor on me!’ I said, ‘I’m not’ . . . and then I said ‘Bye.'” Get more here.
A Filmmaker Is Threatening To Sue Lindsay Lohan
Matt Martin is a little known filmmaker, who made a film called “Little Mermaid” not to be confused with “The Little Mermaid.” Matt says he talked to Lindsay’s people about promoting his film on Instagram, and even handed over $10,000 for the advertising. Matt talked to the guy who supposedly handles these things for Lindsay, Yossi Bechor. They agreed that in exchange for the $10k and executive producer credit, Lindsay would promote the movie 3 times. But it didn’t happen, Matt now says he can’t get a hold of anyone in Lindsay’s camp, and now he’s threatening to sue. Get more here.

Remember little Rudy Huxtable from “The Cosby Show”? Well, it sounds like she’s been up to some nasty business. Keshia Knight Pulliam married former NFL player Ed Hartwell on New Year’s Eve. Then last week, she announced that they’re expecting. But for Ed, this might not be the blessed event she made it out to be. TV Psychic Miss Cleo Has Died
If you watched any TV at all in the ’90s, then you remember Miss Cleo, the psychic hotline pitchwoman with the Jamaican accent and the classic catchphrase, “Call me now!” Well, she died yesterday morning after a battle with cancer. She was only 53. And she wasn’t Jamaican. She was born in Los Angeles and her real name was Youree Harris. The psychic network she worked for collapsed under a probe by the Federal Trade Commission in 2003. In 2006, she came out as a lesbian. And just a few years ago she revealed that she was still offering her alleged psychic services. She said, quote, “I have clients in New Zealand, Australia, a few in Toronto, a bunch all over the U.S., Jamaica, obviously. Honey, that’s how I make my money. I’ve got kids and grandchildren; I like being able to help.” Get more here.
