DeAngelo Williams from the Pittsburgh Steelers Had a “Walking Dead”-Themed Wedding
When you find a woman who’s willing to give you a “Walking Dead”-themed wedding, you marry that girl. That’s what Pittsburgh Steelers running back DaAngelo Williams did. He and his wife Risalyn, along with their entire bridal party, wore full-on zombie makeup, complete with facial prosthetics and splattered-on blood and slime. DeAngelo and Risalyn actually started out “normal”, and got turned into zombies by the bridal party. It’s not clear if Risalyn likes the show as much as her new husband, but she was cool with it. She said, quote, “He didn’t have to convince me, he really had to convince the bridesmaids. But then they said they had to do it because they’re bridesmaids.” And DeAngelo said, quote, “It is a dream come true, it is unbelievable. And what makes it even more magical is not only did I become a walker, but I became a husband and inherited a beautiful wife.” Get more here.
Disney Is Doing a Gender-Swapped “Splash” Remake with Channing Tatum
Disney is remaking the amazing ’80s mermaid comedy “Splash”, with a gender swap. Channing Tatum will star as a merman, and the human Disney is re-making the 1984 comedy “Splash” the movie where Tom Hanks is a man who got saved by a mermaid played by Darryl Hannah when he was a kid, and then later meets up with her as an adult. After like four days of getting to know her, he commits to living underwater with her for the rest of his life, even though he has to leave everyone and everything behind forever. Channing Tatum will star in the new version, but not as the human, he’s the merman. And there will be a human woman played by Jillian Bell from “Workaholics” and “Eastbound & Down”. JoJo Chose Jordan Rodgers on “The Bachelorette”
If you haven’t watched last night’s “Bachelorette” finale yet, I can’t imagine the results haven’t been spoiled for you yet on social media. But if you’ve been able to avoid the big reveal and you want to keep it that way, you might want to tune out for a few minutes. Here’s the deal: JOJO picked Jordan Rodgers, the less successful, estranged brother of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. So yeah, they’re engaged, and no, it won’t last. It almost never does. But first she had to break the heart of the runner-up, Robby Hayes, who told her, quote, “I undoubtedly and wholeheartedly am in love with you,” before she lowered the boom. As for who will be the next “Bachelor”, Chad Johnson, one of the biggest jerks to ever appear on either show, thinks it should be him. Get more here.
Shannen Doherty’s Cancer Has Spread
Shannen Doherty has been fighting breast cancer for over a year, and unfortunately, she received some bad news recently. It spread to her lymph nodes, and during a recent surgery, her doctors discovered that some of the cancer cells might have gone out from there. But Shannen has been aggressive in her fight. She had a single mastectomy in May, she’s doing chemo now, and after that, she’ll do radiation. She told “Entertainment Tonight”, quote, “The unknown is always the scariest part. Is the chemo going to work? Is the radiation going to work? You know, am I going to have to go through this again, or am I going to get secondary cancer? “Everything else is manageable. Pain is manageable, you know living without a breast is manageable, it’s the worry of your future and how your future is going to affect the people that you love.” Get more here.
