Katy Perry Reveals New Album Release Date, Shares New Song “Daisies”.

“THE MUSIC MUST GO ON,” Katy Perry posted to social media before releasing her new single, “Daisies” with the accompanying video last week. Perry also announced that she’ll be releasing her fifth studio album this August.

I wrote this song a couple months ago as a call to remain true to the course you’ve set for yourself, regardless of what others may think. Recently, it has taken a new meaning for me, in light of what the whole world is experiencing. Each of us is one in more than seven billion, with our own story of strength and resilience to tell. 🌼DAISIES🌼 is out now. I hope it will be the soundtrack to going for your dreams now… especially the ones we left behind 💛

Perry, who is also expecting a daughter this Summer, will perform “Daisies” from her home on Friday, May 15th, and will do a Q&A with Amazon Music at 1 PM ET. The musical event will benefit MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund. She will also perform “Daisies” during the American Idol finale on May 17th.

Perry took to Instagram Live to softly announce her album saying, “There’s a lot that will be happening this summer. Not only will I be giving birth — literally — but also figuratively to something you guys have been waiting for.”
