Early Saturday morning, a devastated Lady Gaga announced she is canceling the remaining 10 tops on the European leg of her Joanne World Tour.

In a letter posted to Instagram and Twitter Gaga’s team announced the cancellation stating:

“Last night, with strong support from her medical team, Lady Gaga made the tough decision to immediately come off the road. She is extremely sorry and deeply saddened that she cannot perform for her European fans…”

Gaga, who brought the Joanne tour through SLC in December, has been fighting a long-time battle with Fibromyalgia which is a disorder that causes musculoskeletal pain. Doctors are still unclear as to what causes Fibromyalgia or how to treat it.

Her struggle with chronic pain was a key piece of her Netflix documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two.

Hopefully with the right care and enough time, Lady Gaga will be back on her feet. She ended her announcement letter with this:

“I love this show more than anything and I love you, but this is beyond my control… I promise I will be back in your city, but for now, I need to put myself and my well-being first.”
