No need to use a portal gun to visit the universe where it’s always 1998. McDonald’s has brought back the Szechuan sauce for a limited time.

The Asian-inspired chicken nugget sauce was originally a promotional menu item to promote the 1998 release of Disney’s Mulan. But interest in the sauce was recently renewed after tracking some down became a plot point in season 3 of Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty.
After a brief and disasterous 2017 re-release, McDonald’s apologized for underestimating the amount of sauce needed, having shipped as little as 20 packs to some locations. McDonald’s promised to bring it back to make it up to everyone who didn’t get a chance to try it.
You spoke. We’ve listened. Lots more #SzechuanSauce and locations. Details soon. And that’s the wayyy the news goes! pic.twitter.com/ooIrbZBsOw
