Mary Lambert’s rise to the limelight occurred in 2012 when Macklemore and Ryan Lewis featured her vocals on the 4th single, “Same Love,” of their album The Heist. From there she developed her contribution to that track into a full song of her own, “She Keeps Me Warm,” which was released July of last year. She has been nominated for two Grammy awards, and performed with Madonna at the 56th annual Grammy Awards. Lambert began as a spoken word artist in 2008, and as of 2011 became a singer/songwriter. In December of 2013, Lambert released her debut major label extended play, Age of My Body, through Capitol Records, followed by her Letters Don’t Talk EP. Lambert’s debut full-length album, Heart On My Sleeve, was released October 14th featuring her hit single, “Secrets.” Mary Lambert is a very vocal and active member of the LGBT community, and promotes self-acceptance. She describes her concerts as a “safe space where crying is acceptable and even encouraged.” The Heart On My Sleeve tour is her first ever headlining tour.
