With origins in Taiwan and Japan in the late ’90s, cat cafés have become an international phenomenon. Patrons buy their café goodies, pay an hourly cover charge, and hang out in the lounge. All cats at Tinker’s Cat Café will be available for adoption through Salt Lake County Animal Services.
Tinker’s has been a long time in the making. Articles found from last year had the opening listed as summer 2016. I haven’t been able to find out why the opening was delayed for nearly a year and a half, but regardless, I’m so pumped.
I had the chance to visit a cat café in Austin, TX on my birthday and there’s just no preparing for how amazing it truly is.
I could have lived there for the rest of my life and been perfectly content.
