Thief Took Merchandise From Pawn Store Self and Pawned it

A manager at Value Pawn in Ocala, FL told officers that a customer reported seeing a man take a car stereo amplifier, valued at $119.99, from a shelf, remove the sale stickers, take it to the counter and proceed to pawn it. Store surveillance video showed Jose Daniel Claudio Jr., 38, taking, and pawning, the amplifier. He received $60 for the transaction. Jose then returned to the store and removed a backpack leaf blower, worth $250, got into a vehicle and drove away. Store officials alerted police, and Claudio was stopped. When he was then arrested, he told Police that he has a drug problem and was pawning the goods to pay for his heroin addiction. He was charged with dealing in stolen property, fraud, retail theft and petit theft.
