Real Life Grinch Chopped Down a Town Christmas Tree
Rochford, Essex, England – Just hours before the town’s Christmas festivities were to begin by switching on the town Christmas tree, some vandals chopped it down. The district chairman Heather Glynn appealed for help on social media, which prompted an outpouring of support. A local farmer drove his tracker down town and the generous locals helped replace the tree and restore the Christmas lights. Ms Glynn told the BBC she was delighted by the response: “Thanks to an amazing community spirit, and acts of kindness from some truly wonderful people, the tree is back up. “Fortunately the lighting event was not until the afternoon and people were determined not to let the vandals beat them.” Get more here.

A Woman Broke Into her Ex’s House & Covered it in Bleach
Marquita Weaver, of Memphis Tennessee, broke into her ex-boyfriend’s apartment and doused everything with bleach, including the man’s television, carpets and even his Bible. Marquita came through the bathroom window and proceeded to pour bleach on virtually every surface of the apartment. She also used cooking grease that had filled a frying pan. Morris even had pages of his Bible destroyed, along with the leather binding. He said he saw Weaver leaving his apartment the day of the attack. “I said, ‘what are you doing in my house?’. She said ‘you lied to me’, so I was like ‘lied to you?'” Morris said. Marquita was arrested, and is currently out on bail, she’s being charged with burglary, theft and vandalism. Get more here.
