A Guy Stole an Ambulance and Took a Joyride
Leonard Eugene Smith, 21, stole an ambulance as emergency workers in were getting ready to take the patient, who was having breathing problems, to the hospital. “When they came down, the truck was gone,” leaving the EMT’s and the patient stranded. With the help of a tracking device, authorities were able to find the ambulance and arrest Leonard. He was charged with felony theft and a misdemeanor count of recklessly endangering another person. Turns out the Ambulance had an in-vehicle camera pointed at the driver apparently Leonard was “having a good time,” and “seemed excited.” The patient arrived at the hospital after waiting for another Ambulance, and fortunately, is expected to make a full recovery. Grandma’s Meth Pipe Found in Granddaughters Backpack
Linda Wiese, 59, was charged with a felony after a teacher at Roosevelt Elementary School found her meth pipe in an 8-year-old girl’s backpack. Police and child welfare workers searched the home where the girl was living and found drugs and drug paraphernalia near her toys and books. The girl’s parents were also arrested and charged with felony child endangerment. They have pleaded not guilty. Get more here.
