A Thief Stole a Tip Jar Containing $6.77 After Paying $9.82 For His Meal

A New Zealand man stole a tip jar containing $6.77, then he forgot to take his food, which he had already purchased for $9.82. Security camera footage shows the man putting the tip jar in his bag. The owner of the restaurant, Yateen Lallu, confronted the man after he spent a few moments in the bathroom before the empty tip jar was discovered on the restroom floor. “I said to him ‘there’s our tip jar’, and he said ‘it wasn’t me, it must have been someone else’. I said ‘are you sure? Are you telling the truth?'” When he went to review the security footage, the man fled. All in all the crook ended up down $3.05. Get more here.

Kyle Dustin Head, 24, from Virginia “was apparently under the influence of marijuana when he called 911 and asked the operator for rolling papers,” Sgt. Brian Edwards said. The 911 center did dispatch personnel to Kyle’s location, but not to get him rolling papers. Two officers arrived and found him sitting in his truck with the smell of marijuana emanating from it. When Officers approached the truck, they found, in plain sight loose particles of marijuana on the dashboard, passenger seat, all over Kyle’s clothes, and even in his right ear! He was cited for misdemeanor marijuana possession and released.
